Nursing moms and their babies are welcome! There will be a special room set up with video feed to the sessions.

We love young children (older than nursing babies!) and we know you do too! However, this “Child Free Event” is your opportunity to be free from some of your normal daily responsibilities. It also provides a distraction free time for everyone to focus on the spiritual purpose of the event.

However, we encourage you to register and bring your older next-generation teenagers to enhance their growth in the Lord.

The “GiGs” have co-authored a book, Trusting God: A Girlfriends in God Devotional. She has written for Sunday Best Music Publishing since 2004. Her newest CD, Uncluttered, was released in early 2011.

Aside from all this formal bio information, those who know her best would tell you that Gwen is just a car-pooling, coffee-loving, chocolate-craving, Jesus-loving wife and mother who struggles like the rest of us with dirty dishes, everyday life, messy piles, mountains of laundry, complicated relationships and cellulite.

Though she travels regularly, Gwen’s top ministry priority is, and always will be, her family. She and her husband Brad have been married since 1993 and have been blessed with three cool kids (named Preston, Hunter and Kennedy) who are now officially: two tweens and a teen.

In her spare time, Gwen loves to cheer loudly at her kid’s ballgames, play guitar, relax at the piano, and chat with her girlfriends. Her other interests include bargain shopping, hanging out at local coffee shops enjoying the dark roast, writing new songs, and studying her Bible. Gwen and her family reside in North Carolina, and are members at LIFE Fellowship Church

Taking Possession of God’s Promises

In Christ we have all we need: all the direction, protection and power. On our own we’ve got nothing but confusion, vulnerability and weakness. After the death of Moses, God appointed Joshua to lead the people of Israel into the promised land, which was no simple pursuit. Through obstacles of rivers, walls, worriers and warriors, Joshua was greatly successful because of two things: obedience and God-courage. We will be equipped for every battle as we implement the same strategies. This session will unpack Scripture and will challenge listeners to be strong and courageous as they obey God.

How to Dress for Success

We are in a battle – every minute of every day. We may not be able to see it or hear it, but it wreaks havoc in every area of our lives – our marriage, our relationships, our identity, our hopes and our dreams. The enemy does not want us to understand that he is the leader of this battle. He stands in the shadows, waiting to catch us unaware and unarmed. But Satan will fail when he encounters a woman who is dressed for success in the armor of God. How to Dress for Success will help you understand and put on the armor of God, standing firm in the face of any battle.

Getting a Grip on Fear

Every warrior must learn how to deal with fear. The Bible is filled with men and women who learned to walk through their fear and win the battle raging around them. We can do the same! Fear is paralyzing and one of the enemy’s favorite weapons to keep us from marching into battle, trusting God for the victory. But how do we get a grip on fear and learn to trust God? I mean really trust God when the battle is raging, and defeat seems certain. Getting a Grip on Fear will help you learn how to disarm fear and walk by faith, trusting God to take the broken pieces of your life and transform you into a princess warrior.
