MAY WOMEN’S WEEKEND
Join us for our popular May Women’s Weekend Getaway at Sandy Cove!
Spring is in the air – and a weekend retreat of worshipping and fellowship with hundreds of other women, will refresh your Spirit!
Soaring in the Heights!
Have you ever felt that the routine and challenges of life have hindered you and have stolen your joy? Have you wondered what it will take to get above it all and soar? This weekend we will learn the principles of soaring in the heights. How we can be more than victorious; how we can become the best version of ourselves; how we can become deep Christ followers and soar, soar, soar!
Friday PM - Crazy Hunch and A High Hope
Godly restoration restores more than what was destroyed. In the Bible, we see God restore beauty out of ashes and joy coming in the morning through the lady with the issue of blood. This session will bring practical hope and healing for those in need of Biblical restoration. God never wastes our sorrows but turns them into jewels.
Saturday AM - Serving God with All You Have
It doesn’t take much to serve Jesus-- it just takes all you’ve got. When you join the current of God he will invite you to be a part of something bigger than yourself; it will require the best of yourself and it will outlive yourself. This session will guide you to being a part of something so significant it merits your reason for existence.
Saturday PM - Grace, Grace, Grace
II Cor 5:21
Grace is the one commodity that the church offers the world that they can find nowhere else. This session will challenge the listener to extend grace in all circumstances. Grace is the heart of God and our world desperately needs this wonderful, incredible grace.
Sunday AM - Courage
I Sam 17
Courage is a much-needed trait in believers today. Our culture is such that we will be required to stand for Christ or to shirk back. Learning how to be courageous is what will be taught in this session. To stand with confidence for the cause of Christ.
With a gripping and contagious style, Dr. Lori Salierno addresses many audiences across the country. In the public arena, Lori’s winsome talks on Universal Principles have earned her high school standing ovations and Air Force Academy cadet’s wings. In church settings, Dr. Salierno doesn’t mince words as she challenges youth to be sexually pure and leaders to mentor others with integrity.
In her many travels across the country, Dr. Salierno increasingly saw young people who were at-risk and plagued with apathy and destructive behaviors. To counter this negative trend, she founded Teach One to Lead One (T1L1). Now in its nineteenth year, T1L1 reaches thousands of students per year with a message of integrity, enthusiasm and leadership development.
Dr. Salierno authored seven books, and has been a contributing author for other books and many magazine articles, with an emphasis on developing a passion for excellence and balance, with a spirit of celebration.
Lori lives in the Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan area with her husband Jose’.
Alicia Williamson Garcia
Musician and Worship Leader
“Worship, in its total essence, is a response to the truth, not a reaction to circumstances.” — Alicia
Multitudes of people believe in the gospel message, but it takes a special gift to passionately articulate God’s truth in a way that truly impacts lives. Alicia Williamson Garcia has that gift! She is known for her unique ability to present a relevant message that reaches beyond cultural barriers, bridges generations, and brings unity to the body of Christ.
A native of Florence, SC, Alicia began singing at age 5. Two years later, while listening to her father’s first sermon, she trusted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Her ministry career spans three decades beginning with the contemporary Christian group TRUTH, where she first recorded her signature song, “There Is a Hope.” In 1993, Alicia started her itinerate speaking and worship ministry and is now a favorite speaker and worship leader for women’s ministry events throughout the nation.
In 2002, Alicia and her husband, Richard Garcia, founded IN Worship, a discipleship ministry focused on impacting the world for Christ – everyday!
