September Women's Weekend
Ladies – join us for a beautiful fall weekend!
You invest a lot of time and energy into your families, churches, communities and work…retreat from the daily routine and set aside some time to recharge emotionally and spiritually. Enjoy a weekend away with your girlfriends…laughter and worship and relaxing and talking!
Living Strong: You Are What You Think
Many of life’s battles are won or lost in the mind. With every test we stand at the crossroads of being bitter or better, broken or built up, victim or victor. This weekend series is for every woman who is ready to break the cycle of toxic thoughts that contradict God’s promises of life and abundance. Renewing your mind is not just a childhood memory verse to be tucked away for safe keeping, but divine, commanded instruction for daily victorious living. Living bold. Living strong. Living free. God has made freedom available to each of us…starting with making the mental choice to choose life and choose it abundantly. Then creating intentional daily habits from the Word of God that shift our perspective, strengthen our faith, and give purpose to our story. “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he…” Proverbs 23:7
Sessions with Veirdre Jackson
Session 1: You Are What You THINK
Tested by fire
Healed for a purpose
Influence to others
No matter what faith
Knowing you’re enough
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV
No, everything may not be ok; but to still be able to say “it is well with my soul”, breathes a God inspired truth into all of our situations. Challenging us to shift our focus and align our perspective to one that is higher, greater, and more insightful than our own. Unpack the destructive power of fear in order to embrace the life giving truth of love from a Way Maker who has captured every tear, thinks on you daily, and promises that His ways will turn ashes to beauty…trusting with a no matter what faith that “everything” will work together for my good in the end.
Session 2: What’s Your Mindset? : Warrior or Worrier
“For me to get here and die… Tell hell NO!” ~ TD Jakes
The Israelites got to the edge of the promised land and decided to trade their promise for a 40 year journey that should have taken 11 days. They were trapped in a “wilderness mindset” that lacked dreams, ambition, promise, or courage for a new vision of life that was a part of their inheritance. In the up and down seasons of life, there are elements of this mindset that we each carry with us at any moment and the Lord is saying to you, “You have stayed at the mountain long enough.” What do we need to let go from our past in order to embrace victorious opportunities in our future with a “no matter what faith”?
“Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.” Philippians 4:6-7 MSG
Session 3: Get Your Bounce Back: F.I.T.T. Backpack
Starting today, each one of us can live knowing that our lives do not have to be based on what the world has said, our past has revealed, or any label someone has placed on us, but, instead, on what the Word of God says about us. We are fearfully and wonderfully made, and God has an incredible plan for our lives.
But as the saying goes… “Knowledge isn’t power until you act.” ~ E. McManus
Let’s create a Bounce Back action plan crafted from the pages of scripture. Trading past baggage for a F.I.T.T. Backpack of tools for instruction on living Free In TheTruth of who you are meant to be!
Session 4: Finish Strong
“Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” Hebrews 12:1 Are there trials, pressures, burdens that you feel the weight of? Athletes use weight vests during training season to build endurance for Race Day. Recognize that training has a purpose, and it is for a season… Where you are today is no accident. Our Master Trainer is more concerned with your potential than your comfort. God is using this training season to shape and prepare you for your “Race Day”. When the weight has been lifted and your strength, endurance, stamina, and speed are fully revealed and you are at the finish line in the place you were destined to be. Run. Soar. Be Free. Finish Strong!
